Awesome free patterns for web design
subtlepatterns.com is website made by Atle Mo, there he provides a great selection of really nice high quality tileable patterns that can be downloaded for free. PNG and even photoshop .PAT file formats are offered. You know the really cool Dark-Wood background that a lot of people like and have been using, well subtlepatterns.com has it for free. I have to say visiting the website is quite enjoyable as it has a very clean UX optimized design and you get exactly what you want without hassle.
There is a submit page where other designers can contribute and upload their own patterns. I am pretty sure that he is quite selective about what is let on the site, he says so himself and it’s a good thing. High standards and quality are safe that way. Quoted from the submit page: “the world does not need more plain noise patterns“.

UX optimized design
My goal is to be a high quality resource for anyone in need of tilable textured patterns, free to use.
Another area on the site is called Snacks, there you can download bundles of the patterns all in one .zip file and just add them all to your library for future use, again giving designers exacty what they want with minimum hassle.

I discovered Subtle Patterns via twitter, follow @subtlepattern if you like what he is offering.

Webdesign is not very simple task but It will be when the designer know the users interest and users colors.

Much appreciation for this article. I think your blog post is very entertaining. I will come again in the near future.
Hi your article was a good read and as I am beginning with web site design and will use the information to help me learn. Also is there anyway to get an RSS feed that updates when new files are uploaded. Also is there a way to have a recently added feature on the front main page?
